A Game of Hands
The Choir of Keliah is an organization well known throughout the city of Godfall. They are Keliah’s clerics and paladins, an organization that spreads her virtue and enforcers her commands. They are musicians, singers, and storytellers. They perpetuate beauty and order above all else.
An individual member of the Choir is known as a Voice, and the first thing a Voice learns is how to sing Keliah’s Song. It is known as the essence of beauty, the essence of sound, the essence of all that is creation. But where one can create, one can also uncreate. The Choir is, afterall, Keliah’s army. With the power of Keliah’s Song the Choir can command minds, destroy objects, and even level an entire city.
The head of the Choir is known as the First Voice, the one who commands the rest of the Choir in their enforcement of Keliah’s order. It is a position that is passed down a singular family line, from father to son. When the son of the First Voice is born, he is betrothed to the daughter of the Avatar of Keliah. When they both come of age, the wedding ceremony marks the ascension of the couple to their respective positions of authority.
